Discernment of False Teachings

“If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Today with zoom and countless resources of teachings online, the body of Christ requires more discernment and wisdom to decipher false from truth. John 8:32. Couple days ago, in Singapore a young 18 years old was caught with terrorist intentions and what corrupted his mind and soul was what he believed in YouTube, even in making a bomb. All these were done without parent’s knowledge. We have to pray for our next generation to have wisdom and discernment with the fear of the Lord and the mind of Christ by being rooted in God’s Word. Even in the body of Christ today, we see arguments and disputes of doctrines, denomination and divisions rather than loving one another in unity, honour and respect through Christ.

Prayer of unity, wisdom and discernment is vital for the body of Christ to rise up as God’s Ekklesia, His glorious church who is spotless, blameless, and loving as one. Remember Holy Spirit will always bring edification, exhortation and comfort to one another with love in the body of Christ. Praise God!

To God be the glory!
