… and a Future

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. The lips of a king speak as an oracle, and his mouth does not betray justice.” Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The devil will always want us to have the “What” in the future, but taking our eyes and focus from the “Who” that will leads us into the future. Wisdom teaches us, "Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.” Proverbs‬ ‭23‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭


Only the path of salvation that God directs us will stand forever. Putting God first is never easy and is always a spiritual battle because satan will use all the things in the world to distract us like the war, financial crisis, famine, and pandemic. Our future must have Christ as the shepherd, His Word as the lamp, and His Spirit as the fire to direct us prophetically. We are created to have faith in Christ for the future. Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.


By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬-‭3. ‭As we cross over into 2024, there are paths which few shall take, commitment which few shall sacrifice, and faith which few shall dare to step out. Would you follow Christ? “Follow me, Jesus said”
