Today’s Inspiration: “From the fruit of their mouth a person’s stomach is filled; with the harvest of their lips they are satisfied.” Proverbs 18:20 NIV. Words has impact on our lives since our childhood and it affects our adulthood. Our attitude, behaviours and character are forged by the words in our life, even when a child is in the mother’s womb. A child in the mother’s womb can hear and discern the words and emotions of the mom and surroundings. Rejection, anger, anxiety and fear that arose in words can affect one’s birth, growth, upbringing and future.

Therefore when John the Baptist and Jesus our Lord was conceived by Elizabeth and Mary respectively, prophetic words were spoken in the mother’s womb. Therefore God’s word brings forth both Spirit and Life. John 6:63 Apostle James taught,”For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!” James 3:2-5. Therefore healthy life comes from healthy words, Christlikeness comes from Christ’s words.
Prayer: O Lord my God, keep me with your peace and grace daily in my tongue. Let it be your words of edification, exhortation, and comfort to self and others. Let me be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. Give me wisdom to handle all challenges and relationships that it shall glorify your Name. For it’s not by might not by power but by your Holy Spirit, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
