Today’s Inspiration: “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 NIV. Faith is not just about words but actions. Prayer is not just about tell God our requests but also drawing close and intimate with God to do what He requires of us according to His Holy Word. Acting justly is to treat others what we want others to treat us. Luke 6:31. Do we react in anger or we respond with forgiveness and grace?

Loving mercy is the heart of the Cross of Calvary where Jesus carried all our sins, burdens and pain. Without experiencing the grace of God’s forgiveness, we will not understand mercy. And without repentance, we will not have forgiveness. Loving mercy is yoking with Jesus, carrying our Cross. Offence knocks on our doors daily, but unless forgiveness answers it, anger can invite bitterness easily as an unwanted guest. Lastly walking humbly with God is following Jesus in our daily lives. Without the Holy Spirit, we will not bear the fruit of kindness, meekness and humility. It’s the spirit of God that convicts us, changes us and humble us.
Prayer: O Lord my God, make me your vessel, your offering, and your will to become. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Lord lay hold on me daily and help me to act wisely, love mercy, and to walk humbly like you, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
