Today’s Inspiration: “Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. For those who find me find life and receive favor from the Lord. But those who fail to find me harm themselves; all who hate me love death.” Proverbs 8:34-36 NIV. The hardest work in Church as a believer and disciple of Jesus Christ is not ministry, missions or serving with your gifts and talents. Strangely growing spiritually has not much to do with serving ironically. We have seen many who served the Lord many years but not growing spiritually or even do not have a personal relationship with God. Do not be surprised but understand the revelation of God’s Word. John 8:32.
The hard work as a Christian and disciple of Jesus Christ is Prayer. Remember how Peter, James and John can fall asleep despite following Jesus for the 3 years. Matthew 26:40. They didn’t understand the power of Prayer until they received the Holy Spirit from Jesus after resurrection. John 20:22 Have you ever slept in a morning sermon and don’t realise why? Have you tried to read the Bible and don’t understand? You need a personal prayer life. The disciples knew the secret of Jesus is prayer but they tried only in the flesh and slept but when the Spirit of God was given, they prayed for 50 days unceasingly, the power of Pentecost came down and 3000 souls were saved. Acts 2:41. Glory to God! Many say I can’t pray long, the key is not the technicality but the heart relationship and communion with God. You can’t pray long when you only seek your will not the Father’s. Only the Holy Spirit can lead you. Praise God for His truth. So build a strong prayer life. Breakthroughs will come.
Prayer: O Lord my God, teach me how to pray and fill me with your Holy Spirit. Sustain me and lead me deeper into your Holy presence to seek the Father’s Will. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Reveal to me your mysteries and divine desires for I long for your will and your word, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
