9 January 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John‬ ‭15‬:‭13.‬ ‭The greatest challenge in this era is loneliness. It causes mental distress and emotional dejections. Why? There is a difference between loneliness and solitude. Loneliness is feeling rejected, ostracised or unloved by the people and self, but solitude is being accepted, valued, and loved by Christ Jesus in prayers, petitions and thanksgiving. The former is being self-centered but the latter is being God-centered. To break the yoke of heaviness or depression is to cast out the fear of rejections. 2 Timothy 1:7.

Our salvation is found through the greatest love of all, the blood of Jesus who gave us His life at the Cross of Calvary. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭In 2024, let’s grow deeper in love with Jesus. Time with Him is priceless and timeless in His divine peace, presence and protection. To break all shackles of mental distress and depression is to usher in the acceptance, belonging, love, and existence of Christ Jesus in one’s soul. His perfect love will casts out all fears. 1 John 4:18. We are accepted not by ways of man but by our faith in God alone, through Christ Jesus. Faith comes from hearing, hearing the word of God. Romans 10:17 Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, let the joy of the Lord’s love be my strength. My hope is found in Christ Jesus, for He is my strength and my song, whom I shall worship all the days of my life. Waters or strong winds might have hit and blown against me but the Lord is my rampart and bulwark, I shall not fear. Who is greater than my Lord, my fortress and my strong tower, for He changes not. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever loving and accepting who He had created me to be, transforming me within into His glorious image, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
