Today’s Inspiration: “There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.”1 Samuel 2:2 Christ is our sure foundation of our life and salvation. When our thoughts, emotions and actions are not following the word, will and workings of God, we can struggle and fall easily to our fleshly and worldly desires. King Saul and David were both anointed by God but the former didn’t take heed to God’s instructions through prophet Samuel and his crown and life was taken but the latter has the fear of the Lord and a heart after God’s.

Saul sought man first but David sought God first. Jesus taught,”Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. Prayer: O Lord my God, let not my will but your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Let me trust you with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding. I commit all of my plans to you and let your spirit direct my steps. For unless you build I labor in vain, unless you watches over the city, the watchers do it in vain. You are the rock of my salvation and the foundation of my faith. I put all my trust in you Lord, in Jesus Name, Amen.
