9 December 2020 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: By faith Joseph when his end was near, spoke about Exodus of the Israelites born in Egypt and gave instructions about his bones. Hebrews 11:22. We can speak the promises of God but we should not doubt, but have a sense of assurance that He will sustain and direct us that His promises become a reality.

It's only faith that overcomes fear, for faith caused us to trust God to take care of us and to intervene on our behalf without doubting. There is no fear in love. 1 John 4:18. God has assured us of every provision therefore we need not fear. No mortals can do anything to us if God's plan is to preserve us. He will never leave us nor forsake us so we can say with confidence that the Lord is our helper. Hebrews 13:5-6.

Fear is a common emotion that attacks us when we are insecure or uncertain about our future. Fear comes especially when pain strikes us suddenly causing our imaginations to run wild. As God's people and children, we should not fear.

Faith is seeing the invisible God performing signs and wonders ahead of time through dreams or visions. When we are at the end of the road, only our faith in God matters, trusting Him at any costs and depending solely on Him. It is this total reliance that elevates our faith for the impossible to take place. 2 Corinthians 1:8-9. With God there is no sentence of death for He who raised the dead, will save us and redeem us through His blood. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Psalm 107:2 that we are not destroyed. V19 God will send His word to salvage our situation and makes us secure. V20. God be praised.

Prayer: Abba Father, You are my all in all. In times like this I look to You, the author and perfector of my faith trusting You to do all things that no man can accomplish. In Jesus name. Amen
