8 October 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.” Psalms‬ ‭27:1-3‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ The Bible didn’t promised a life without troubles, oppositions, stress or sufferings. On the contrary Jesus taught the disciples that in this world we will have troubles but in Him we shall find our peace and have faith for through Him, we shall overcome the World. John 16:33. Making decisions is one of the toughest process for anyone, not only for Christians.

How do we recognise whether the decision is of the flesh, of the enemy or of the Spirit of God? First and foremost is Peace, for Christ is the prince of peace. Isaiah 9:6 So even if it is a difficult decision with multiple challenges, He will be your peace which surpasses all your circumstances and situations. His peace shall make you more faithful than fearful. Second, is Faith. Christ is the Word which will guide your feet and your path with faith. For without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6 You don’t need faith for quiet times but troubled times. Every promises has to overcome problems, every levels comes different battles, and every testimonies comes with its unique tests. Last but not least is Favour. Psalm 5:12. Joseph moved from the pit to the palace of Pharaoh through the favour of God. Each tests, trials and tribulations created doors for Joseph to encounter God’s favour. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, for your ways are higher than my ways and your thoughts are higher than mine. May your peace, faith and favour surrounds me like a shield. Even all the nations surrounds me, in the name of the Lord I will cut them down. Bless me with your righteousness, that I may walk and make godly decisions with the leading of your Holy Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding in Jesus' Name, Amen.
