8 August 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews‬ ‭4:15-16‬. No one knows our pain, problems and past more than our Lord, our God. And no one knows exactly how we feel and endured in our broken hearts except Jesus Christ who was the Word that came in the flesh and dwell among us. John 1:14. Only Him can fully empathise with us and heal us from the inside out.

To know the love of God is the beginning of Prayer and Healing. It’s like a son’s request to his father, to draw closer to Him and to know how much He cares for him. Jesus said,” Let the little children come to me, do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14. A child like faith is a complete trust, obedience and believe in God, as our Abba Father. The power of prayer comes from the first commandment of God, which is to love Him with all our hearts, with all our soul, with all our minds, and all our strength. Matthew 22:37. All relationship begins with God. Our relationship with God reflects our relationship with others. In the end of times, Jesus said many hearts will grow cold because many no longer believe in God, as wickedness increases. Matthew 24:12 Building our personal prayer altar is building our love with God. Love is a continuous Care, Compassion, and Commitment from one to another selflessly. It is the image of Christ, for love is God and God is love. 1 John 4:8.

Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me to live in your presence daily and to abide in your presence of glory. Let the fire at the altar in your temple of the Holy Spirit be lit day and night. Let my prayers, petitions and thanksgiving be pleasing to you. Pour out your Spirit upon us, our family and into our Nation as we celebrate your goodness, your greatness and your glory, our God who protected, provided, and prospered us in the midst of our enemies. Let us be a sheep Nation and your are our Shepherd, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
