23 April 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: ”For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, And ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he.“ Jeremiah‬ ‭31‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV.‬‬ How can a deceiver like Jacob able to be reconciled with Esau his brother and not be destroyed? Jacob wasn’t a perfect man but unlike his brother He knew the perfect God of heavens and the earth and the statutes of God which His father Isaac and grandfather Abraham observed. The birthright and blessing was upon Him. Above all, Jacob was repentant in all his ways, wrestled with the angel of the Lord and built the altars of God in all his encounters. Genesis 32:24.

Like Jacob whose strength was meek unlike the hunter of his brother Esau so was David the shepherd boy who defeated Goliath. It wasn’t how big Goliath is to David but rather it was how God was so real, loving and faithful to him in times rejection by his family, ridicule by his brothers, and rebuts by his enemy. It was an intimate and personal relationship with God that made all his adversaries and persecutions so small in the sight of Almighty Adonai. No one except the Lord who led him to overcome the lion and the bear. 1 Samuel 17:36. Are you just seeing your plight or problem, or are you seeking God and proclaiming His promises by obeying His statutes by faith? We must first win the spiritual battle within us before we win the physical battle in prayer. For greater is Christ in you than the enemy that is outside. 1 John 4:4.

Prayer: O Lord my God, what then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Your Word is my strength, my refuge and my victory, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
