Today‘s Inspiration: “I love you, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”Psalms 18:1-2 NIV. The art of intercession is the art of waiting upon the Lord in prayer, petitions and thanksgiving in our hearts. If our physical body requires rest so does our spiritual man. Today many are mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted, weary and distress when we neglect the fourth commandment, in observing the Shabbath rest in the Lord from work.
Setting apart time, devotion, and rest in the Lord is the key in building our relationship with God and restoring our strength. A spiritual life is an intentional life. James 4:8 The most powerful prayer is the waiting prayer to hear the voice of God, and not just telling God what we want. Answered prayer is knowing what God wants in our lives according to His word, wisdom, workings for our spiritual growth and maturity. It is the Holy Spirit that always draw us closer to God and prioritising our intimacy with God above all things because we can overcome all challenges when we have a breakthrough in our spirit man through Christ. Zechariah 4:6.
Prayer: O Lord my God, draw close to me as I draw close to you. As I make the Lord my dwelling place, no evil will befall upon me and no plague shall come near my tent. You set my feet upon the rock and established my steps firm and steady. You lift me up as I humble before you. Through you I can charge against an army and I can scale over the walls, for you are my Lord and my strength, in Jesus Name, Amen.
