7 March 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ When the Israelites was delivered from slavery in Egypt through God’s powerful miracles, signs and wonders physically, their hearts were still in Egypt emotionally. Therefore the generation didn’t get into the promised land. For where your treasure is, there your heart shall be. Matthew 6:21. We must seek the Lord face and not just His hands. Our past emotional hurts, trauma, pain and abuses is like Egypt and the Holy Spirit work is to break us free and deliver us into God’s promises and His new plans and purpose for us. Our mind must be renewed. Romans 12:2.

What we need in this season is a different Spirit to have the faith to walk in the New and not in the Old. Caleb and Joshua was filled with the Holy Spirit and Faith when they saw the promised land of God. Remember God is bigger than the giants and victory comes in the Spirit of God and not in power or might. Numbers 14:24. Jesus taught,” And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.” Mark‬ ‭2‬:‭22‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ The difference is that Caleb and Joshua gave their whole heart in faith of God’s promises but the 10 spies gave their fears to the giants and obstacles. Faith is able to win all emotional and spiritual battles. It’s time to move in the New calling, direction and purpose of God to receive New Wine. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, be thou my vision and lead me with your Holy Spirit. Make me your new wineskins for your new wine. In your moulding and pressing, all the old skin of the grapes shall be gone and out of the grapes shall flow new wine of joy, fulfilment and fruit of the Spirit. I believed and received your promised land for my family and my children. For out of Zion, I shall see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of my life, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
