7 July 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain.” Psalms‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ The intimacy with God is paramount in our daily lives. Seeking God first mustn’t be compromised in our discipleship journey and Christian life. We will notice that we get into problems, crisis, sickness or troubles whenever we don’t put God and His Word above all things. Matthew 6:33

Remember the 3 battles between Jesus and satan in Matthew 4. The devil uses all ways to tempt Jesus in putting the things of world above God, and this is the spirit of idolatry. Jesus rebuked satan that man shall not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God; man shall not put God to the test and man shall worship the Lord and serve Him only. Then the angels of the Lord came to minister to Him. Our daily battle is not carnal but spiritual in pulling down all strongholds of idolatry. Our healing, deliverance and blessings come from God alone. Glory to God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me if I had not put you first above all things. I choose to deny myself, carry the Cross, and follow you. Lead me by your Holy Spirit as I make the Lord as my dwelling place and my refuge. No evil shall befall upon me and no plague shall come near my tent. You put your angels charge over me and keep me from all my ways. They lift me up lest my feet strike against the stones. May your goodness and loving kindness follow me all the days of my life as I seek ye first your kingdom and righteousness, in Jesus Name, Amen.
