Today’s Inspiration: “For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.” 1 Corinthians 1:17 NIV. The power of God was fully exemplified at the Cross of Calvary. To encounter the power of God, we have to preach and teach on the Cross of Jesus Christ and not just the blessings and prosperity of the gospel. Apostle Paul preached,” For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18. It is the power of Cross that brings conviction, repentance and transformation in souls for salvation.
All mysteries and revelation of the gospel are revealed and exemplified by the Cross of Jesus Christ at Calvary. It was the power of the Cross that totally destroyed satan’s usurped authority from Adam as Christ now become our righteousness, holiness and redemption, who is the wisdom and power from God. v30 It was the Cross that broke all curses and sicknesses two thousand years ago and brought God’s unconditional and divine love on the earth through Cross of Christ. God’s love and power disarmed the powers and authorities of satan and his legion and he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2:15. All glory be unto God as this great power and authority has been given to us who believed the crucified and resurrected Messiah Yeshua. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, I believe there is the power of the Cross working in my life and it is the Cross that helped me crossover into your Kingdom. It is your Cross that poured out your love and redemption of my heart and soul to be revived and transformed daily. It is your Cross that can bring salvation to my family and love ones and it only through the Cross where your stripes were taken so that I can be redeemed and healed of all sins and sicknesses. Let the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be on the power of the Cross, in Jesus' Name, Amen!
