7 April 2021 Word by Honorary Pastor Rev Alicia Teo

Today's Inspiration: We are required to be a green olive tree in the house of God trusting in His mercy forever and ever. Psalm 52:8. If there is no trust we have allowed ourselves to be a victim of our formative reactions. Instead of being a victim we should be an overcomer and not allowed other people's frustrations to hinder our progress.

God has given us all the promises to be an overcomer. Revelation 12:11. Only a soft answer turns away wrath but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1. A person with great understanding does not become a victim of wrath but to partner with the Holy spirit to dispel anger from your spirit and that of others through a timely word.

Sometimes we try to impress people by our skills but what did Jesus tell Martha? One thing is needed and that is to capture what Jesus preached. Everything will pass away but not the word of God that so captured and dominate our hearts. Luke 10:41-42. His word is like a hammer that breaks into our heart of sin to change us and like a fire that light our spirit to enlighten our darkness. Jeremiah 23:29. His word must be like a burning fire that so impregnates our spirit that even though we want to hold it back, we could not. Jeremiah 20:9. God be praised.

Prayer: May your anointing be upon Your servant to speak Your word so timely that convicts hearts to change for the better. In Jesus’ name, amen.
