Today’s Inspiration: “This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.” 1 John 4:13. Without God, we can do nothing and without His Holy Spirit there is no power or wisdom of the Lord. The danger in today’s church is that we can quench the Holy Spirit by rejecting his gifts, keeping Him out of the church or grieved the Holy Spirit by rejecting his fruits, keeping Him out of our hearts. The former helps us to minister effectively to others and the latter helps us to become Christlike ministers.

Jesus said,”If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:15-18 It is the Holy Spirit that brings forth God’s divine providence into our lives. “The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”John 14:26-27 NIV

Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me not away from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Anoint my head with fresh oil till my cup overflows. Direct me daily Holy Spirit, for you are welcome and fall afresh on me that I may serve with your gifts and produces your fruit. May your power and presence be evident in my life for your testimonies. Quicken me Lord, I pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
