6 September 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations—the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:1‬ NIV. Everyone of us has been through wilderness in our lives be it without direction, facing rejections, undergoing stress or fighting sicknesses. This was seemingly the journey of Moses who had lost all things, his position, power, provision, people and purpose. But God restored them differently and marvellously when Moses encountered God at the burning bush. Exodus 3:2. Do not be afraid of wilderness in life for it is when you draw nearer to God and being alone with God to hear his voice.

Prayer not only takes us always from the world both physically and spiritually but also abandon ourselves from the realm of the flesh to enter the realm of the Spirit. Romans 8:9 Moses has to humble and be obedient to the voice of God in order to deliver the Israelites from Egypt and to receive a new mandate from God to overcome the seven Nations. The seven nations are emotional strongholds which you must conquer to take possession by faith. The prayer of faith always inquires God and brings forth actions through the love of God. James 1:22. This is a season to be brave and courageous which God is speaking to many to arise like Joshua to overcome all our fears, worries, anxieties and stress with new actions. Joshua 1:3. Only faith is able to please God when we trust him and obey His Word. Hebrews 11:6. Glory to God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, bring me out from the realm of the flesh and wilderness. Draw me into the realm of your Holy Spirit and wisdom, for your sheep hears your voice, you know me and I follow you. Lead me, mould me, guide me and use me for your greater purpose and plans to overcome and take possession of the nations within me in prayer, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
