Today’s Inspiration: “By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life.”Proverbs 22:4 NKJV Walking close to Christ requires humility, obedience and discipline. Many people misunderstood that the fear of the Lord is to be afraid of God but the Bible says He is a loving Father. We can only understand this as a child and son, as it is not just about reverence but fear of being far from Him or losing sight of His presence. We can all remember our childhood times when we got lost from our parents we began to cry but once we found them we felt safe, secured and joyful.

Humility comes from bearing the fruit of the Spirit and has the mind of Christ. Humility produces godly wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Wisdom speaks,”Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you.”Proverbs 9:8-11 Longevity, Influence and Providence in life comes from Humility and Obedient to God’s Word and Wisdom.

Prayer: O Lord my God, for as he thinks in his heart, so is he. Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law. May your Holy Spirit guide me daily to act justly, show mercy and walk humbly. Open new doors and opportunities that I may have your vision and wisdom with new purposes for the Kingdom of God. May I ever walk closely with you and lose sight of your presence and word, in Jesus Name, Amen.
