Today’s Inspiration: “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” I John‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Why do you think we all struggle with this verse? It is because it is easier to love what your eyes can see than what your eyes couldn’t. We see what we need more than what God needs of us. Do we love possessions more than His presence? Do we love the world more than God? How can we love God first and more?

Apostle John taught,”For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”I John‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭Simple and yet profound is when we question about death, that we truly learn how to live and love God in our lives. This is the revelation of the Cross. Without the Cross, there is no resurrection or regeneration of a Born Again life in Christ Jesus. Without the Cross, there is no transformation in a Christian or true living of the gospel. That’s the power of the Cross.

Prayer: O Lord my God, give me wisdom to number the days of my life. Let I not pursue the world or my fleshly desires but a life whose flesh is crucified at the Cross. Make me a new wine skin in the image of Christ, and fill me with the love of God knowing He first loved me and gave Himself for me. I no longer live for myself but Christ who shall truly live in me, to mould me and change me. Let not my will but you will be done on earth as it is in heaven, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
