Today’s Inspiration: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33 NIV. How do we seek the Kingdom of God and how did we seek the Righteousness of God? We need to understand that the Kingdom of God is written in the Holy Word of God, the canonized Holy Bible. Without knowing the Word of God, we wouldn’t know what is a holy life. Faith comes from hearing, hearing the Word of God. Romans 10:17.

But hearing and knowing is not enough. We need to seek His righteousness which is the leading of the Holy Spirit to do what the Word of God says. We mustn’t be just the hearers of His Word but be doers of His Word. James 1:22 The Word and the Spirit must come together just as the logos and rhema can produces Kingdom fruitfulness in our lives. Faith is not just words but actions in obedience to God’s Word. Hebrews 11:1 Just as confession is not enough because it requires true repentance to have the evidence of faith in Christ Jesus. The danger today in the Church is biblical illiteracy and spiritual immaturity.
Prayer: O Lord my God, let me not just put you first on my lips but to put your commandments first in my actions. Forgive me if I had neglected your word and your spirit. Build me up and mould me with your Holy Spirit. Baptize me in spirit and fire, admonishing my heart to bear fruit of the spirit through repentance. Turn me from my worldly and fleshly ways, into thy godly and holy wisdom. Renew my mind, revive my spirit, and reform my heart to live a kingdom life in Jesus' Name, Amen.
