5 March 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: ”Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.“ Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭2‬-‭3.‬ ‭The truth of the Lord brings breakthroughs in our Spirit when we turn our minds to Him in prayer. Prayer is like a rudder of our vessel which directs our vision and voices to our divine destiny and holy ambition. Our minds are intimately connected to the spiritual realms. One doesn’t realise that we can speak thousands of words within ourselves in the cause of the day with different perceptions. What we see and hear captures our mind.

Satan’s goal is to stop you from reading the gospel, praying in the Spirit, and looking to God for answers. How he does it? Paul taught,”the god of this world (devil) has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭4.‬ ‭But when Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭4‬.

Busyness with the world’s troubles and stresses can shut our spiritual eyes to God and ensnare our minds. That’s how the enemy capture the world today with defiling images and negative voices. Prayer breaks the scales to our eyes on worldly things and exposes our eyes to God’s plans, purpose and provisions in the supernatural and spiritual realms. It opens our inner ears to hear God. God desires us to be mature in spirit and to take new spiritual food to do the Father’s will. John 3:43.

Prayer: O Lord my God, open up my spiritual eyes and remove all scales of the worldly entanglements. I cast all my cares upon you for you know all my thoughts and my issues. Show me your glory and direct my path to your calling and anointing that I may refocus on your will, your word and your ways, for they are higher than mine and the world. Direct me with new encounters, experiences and edification of your presence and power of the Holy Spirit. May I be a vessel of honour for the master’s use, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
