5 December 2021 Word by Senior Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: Life’s greatest battle is about Worship. Worship is warfare in the Bible and the centre of spiritual battle between God and satan. Jesus overcame the devil at the Temple Mount through God’s Word and Worship. Matthew 4:10. The opposite to the Worship of God is idolatry. God hates idols and many families today are facing generational curses because of idolatry. Exodus 20:5. We observed today’s rebellion in our nation is due to idolatry because parents may focus their time to make money but do not have time to parent their children, teaching and discipline them with the Word of God.

Do we serve God or mammon? Do we live a life of Worship unto God or Idolatry to the riches of the world? What does the next generation see in our life of Worship?

In this end times, it’s not about when the anti-Christ will emerge or when Jesus is coming again but are we able to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven? The key question is are we sanctified as a bride of Christ or are we still filled with bitterness, jealousy, unforgiveness, anger and pride? Are we early in Church to wait, to worship and reverence God or do we come late only for the Word and prayers? In zoom service or livestream services, do we worship God as in the Church or are we walking around in pyjamas, washing the clothes, and eating our breakfast, during the Worship while waiting for the sermon.

In the Old Testament time, anyone who is not sanctified is not allowed into the Holy Place of Worship. Without thanksgiving, you can even enter through the gate into the outer courts. Psalm 100:4 Jesus taught that God is looking for true worshippers who worship in Spirit and Truth. John 4:24 David worshipped and cast out the evil spirit in Saul. 1 Samuel 16:23 Victory always come in Worship and Praise unto God. Worship tears down all idols in our lives. Triumph comes in the heart of thanksgiving. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord My God, forgive my complacency for worship and break all idols in my life which can be a stronghold or obstacle to my undivided heart for you. I choose to seek ye first your Kingdom and righteousness, and to be a true worshippers of God, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
