4 December 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”Proverbs 17:22 NIV There is no joy that can last or satisfy our hearts except the joy of the Lord which is our strength. Nehemiah 8:10 Bitterness, anger and envy can affect both our mental and physical health and wellness. Wisdom teaches us,”Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy.”Proverbs 14:10 The hardest thing in life is to face our pain, our past and our pride. No one will naturally deal with their bitterness.

Bitterness produces anger, resentment and rage. Remember,”A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.”Proverbs 14:30 God wants to heal our bitterness but would you let Him into your hurts, injustice and abuses. Inner healing is never natural but intentionally led but Holy Spirit. Open wounds are open doors to the enemy. We cannot encounter God if we harbour bitterness. Therefore see to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. Hebrews 12:15 NIV Bitterness is a curse and God is able to pull out its roots, remove its stronghold and heal the soul, body and bones.

Prayer: O Lord my God, search my heart and know my anxious or offensive thoughts. I repent from all bitterness, anger, envy and jealousy in my life. Give me the courage and faith to face my past, and bring healing to my soul. Break any fallow ground and hardness of my heart. Led me by your spirit to release forgiveness to those who hurt me as you too forgive my transgressions. May the chastisement of peace remove all curses at the cross of Calvary, for by your stripes I am healed in Jesus Name, Amen.
