Today’s Inspiration: “Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.” 1 Chronicles‬ ‭29‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ In a Christian family we need to disciple the children to know that all that we have belongs to God. He is the author and finisher of both our faith and life. I taught this principle to my first born that all her toys, clothes and food comes not from daddy or mummy but from God, so she began to thank God for all things. Then one day we were in a relative house who is an unbeliever and she saw her playing with her new toy.

She asked her who bought this for you? Is it Mummy or daddy? And she replied,” Jesus.” My wife and was surprised that she was so direct to speak the Lord’s Name. Our relative looked at us and we began a good laugh because of a child like faith and opened doors for divine sharing of the goodness of God. Apostle Paul taught,”For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬ We need to build a generation with an attitude of gratitude to God and they will be blessed because they know their God.

Prayer: O Lord my God, you are my Jehovah Jireh, my Lord and provider of all things. For godliness and contentment is great gain. Let me learn how to give like you Lord generously, not because I need to but I want to. Let my descendants’ descendants also honor God in all His providence and be a blessing to the poor, needy and sick. May I freely give as I freely receive, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
