Today’s Inspiration: “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”I Corinthians 13:13 NKJV. There is no love greater than God’s love, who manifests and revealed in the life of Jesus Christ. The world deepest and desperate need is love. Why many do not have love? It is because we do not have Christ, for love is the full image of Christ, the full image of God who we are creation in. Genesis 1:27 When we are having so much of lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life of the world, love is quenched, numbed and grief. Without love, there is no life, peace and joy in the Spirit.
Love is not having everyone to like you or shower gifts or compliments on you. Love is God and God is love through Christ. 1 John 4:8. The Psalmist sang,”Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.”I Corinthians 13:4-7. Love is giving our life, our presence and our hearts to the poor, the sick, the broken and rejected. Without the love of Christ, we cannot do the work of Christ.
Prayer: O Lord my God, teach me how to love like you. For the things that I see is temporal but the things which I can’t see is eternal. All things will pass away but your Word which is the power of your love will never pass away. Let there be love shared among and let there be love in the eyes of our hearts. Remove the old and hardened heart and give us a new heart of Christ to do your will, purpose and work, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
