Today’s Inspiration: “Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.” Psalms‬ ‭143‬:‭8‬. ‭Building our spiritual life is not just about quiet time with God but our obedience to His voice and His holy Word to live a Holy life. One can have quiet time but still not behave like a Christian. One can have just a form but not formation in the Spirit. Matthew 7:21.

We must be careful not to become too religious or over spiritual in legalism but also not become too lukewarm and not spiritual in liberalism. It is a narrow path for a true disciple of Jesus Christ. We must walk both in the Spirit and also in the Word so that we become true worshippers of God. John 4:24. Obedience is better than sacrifice. God looks at the heart and not at the appearance. If there is no spiritual formation by God’s Word in conviction, there will be no change in our attitude, behaviour, and character. So don’t just read or hear the Word but respond to Christ in actions.

Prayer: O Lord my God, I believe you are the way, the truth and the life. Let me bear the fruit of the Spirit in repentance. Guide me into your path of righteousness for your Name sake, and by your Holy Spirit help me to see the true image of God who is Christ. Let me not be just hearer of the Word but the doer of the Word to give God all the glory, honour and praise, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
