31 January 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬. ‭Success is never without difficulties and Victory is never without disciplines in life. Jesus paid the price of the Cross with His life so that He may lead us to eternal life and into the presence of God with His precious blood at Calvary.

Most people wants more in their life but few wants to give more. A life of giving is the narrow gate which reflects Christ and the Kingdom of God. Jesus taught,” It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35.

Can one desire spiritual growth without spiritual discipline? The narrow gate represents the life of a Christian, one who follows Jesus as His disciples. What you give yourself to is important, because you allow legal access to it. That’s where Satan comes in as a foothold before a stronghold. People get into addictions or bondages because of what they give access to because of greed. This narrow gate guards, disciplines and directs us for Kingdom Success to please God and not man, to give and not to hoard. “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” Philippians ‭3:12‬. When we lay hold of Jesus, His Word, and His Ways, we become the salt and light to the World. His Word sanctifies us and renews our minds. He is the way, the truth, and the life. John 14:6. Jesus Christ, the Lord of our salvation is the narrow gate. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, let me not focus on the world and selfish desires of the flesh. I desire to lay hold on you, and your divine Word of eternal life so that I may enter through the narrow gate of heaven. Lead me with thy Spirit in discipline that I may be mindful of what I give myself to is for the glory of the kingdom of God and your righteousness. I declare that in 2022 I will experience Kingdom Success and Victory in Jesus' Name, Amen.
