Today’s inspiration: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35 NIV. Today many are believers in Christ in the church but few are disciples. Discipleship is not just about Bible study or undergoing a program or course to be a disciple. A true disciple of Jesus is one who is humble to learn, obedient to God’s word and teachable to love like Christ. Discipleship is about living, loving and walking with the Lord intimately. Do we subject ourselves to be corrected, rebuked, and encouraged by the Word of God through our discipler? 2 Timothy 4:2.
Today the greatest emotional battle we are going to face is loneliness where many Nations are aging. The anti-Christ spirit is an unloving spirit, which keeps one’s soul in isolation. Solitude and isolation are different where the former is momentary with purpose but the latter is perpetually in bondage. Fear can cause one to be isolated but Love of God is able to cast out all phobias, procrastinations and apprehensions. 1 John 4:18. Fear will always cause one to be self centred but Love will always inspire one to be Christ centred. It is a spiritual force which is preventing new physical fellowship, discipleship and relationships to be forged. A disciple has to get offline like Peter, out of comfort like Matthew and breaking isolation like Mary to follow Jesus. We can’t love like Christ being alone, and two is always better than one. Ecclesiastes 4:9. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, thank you for the Cross and your Blood which forgives all my sins and remind me that my life is not my own but is redeemed by your unconditional, unending and unfailing love. As I freely receive your love, let my love also releases to others freely. I believe I am not just blessed but I am also a blessing to others. Let there be love shared in my life just like you have shared yours with us. Let there be more love and power in the family and body of Christ, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
