Today’s Inspiration: “And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.” Hebrews 11:39-40. “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10 NIV
When God speaks, He is a God of generations, and His word is like, “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11. However, as we know not all generations remembered God’s goodness and turn to their rebellious ways yet this doesn’t hinder God’s eternal promises and power. Moses taught the commandments,” You shall not bow down to them or worship them (idols); for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.” Exodus 20:5-6. Praise God for His divine time of reconciliation. Nothing is impossible for God to turn back the hearts of our family and descendants back to God. Have faith, share Christ, for though it tarries God’s promises shall come to pass. Great is His faithfulness.
Prayer: O Lord my God, give us the boldness and wisdom to share the gospel and our testimonies to our children and theirs with your love. May the blessing and faith of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob be upon my descendants that they may serve you with a pure heart and clean hands. May all the promises of your Word be Yes and Amen to our homes and families, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
