30 March 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.” Psalms‬ ‭128‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Why do we need the fear of the Lord? The proverbs teaches us that the fear of the Lord is humility and it’s wages are wealth, honour and life. Proverbs 22:4. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, knowledge and understanding of who God truly is. Proverbs 9:10 The challenge we see today in the world is pride, arrogance and rebellion. It is a demonic spirit which divides, condemns, isolate and brings violence. Recent shooting in the US at children and elderly at a Christian school tells us that emotional wounds cannot be neglected or ignored.

We are living in a wounded world and church which needs the Lord’s healing touch of repentance, restoration and reconciliation to God. 2 Corinthians 5:18. Without repentance there is no humility and without humility, the love of God is not able to enter one’s life. Repentance changes our old heart with a new one from God daily. Ezekiel 36:26. When we turn to God in the fear of the Lord, He pours out His Holy Spirit upon us generously. Acts 2:17. Our mental health is dependent on our emotional wellness and our emotional health is dependent on truth in us. So do not bury your pain but allow the Holy Spirit to gently unveil so you can give it to God in deeper healing, intimacy and liberty. Only He has the the power of resurrection and redemption. Our pain cannot be buried in the tomb just as Christ cannot be held down by death and darkness. He is the resurrected Messiah who heals us our wounds and rolls away the rock of heaviness. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, you are the Lord my healer and redeemer. I pray for healing upon my soul, my family, my church and Nation. Have mercy and grace upon our lives and reveals to us the truth and your truth shall set us free. Do not let any pain be buried inside of me, but touch all the places which were wounded gently. I surrender them to you and is fully open to your healing grace and mercy. Let the fear of the Lord guide me and teach me that I may be sensitive to your Holy Spirit. For by your stripes, I am healed, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
