30 July 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ What is the life that God has called us to live according to His Word? The danger today in the Church is that we are hearing a casual gospel that wants to make souls happy, rather than the fear of the Lord that makes souls humble to live a holy life. Remember the Bible is not worldly but Holy.

Recently the Holy Spirit convicted my heart to remind myself and all Christian parents, especially those who are conceiving new born or has young ones with them to teach and lead their children in repentance. You will not be surprised that many Christians homes do not talk about repentance and forgiveness. And that’s why the topic of holiness is the most avoided subject because it demands conviction, repentance and transformation. Without learning to repent, there is no fear of the Lord in their lives and we will not recognise the presence of God in reverence and humility. If we can’t forgive our brothers and sisters, how are we going to enter the kingdom of God? 1 John 3:9-10

Prayer: O Lord my God, lead me to live a life of holiness in the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom knowledge and understanding in my spirit man. I repent of all my sins, iniquities and transgressions that I may resurrect in your righteousness, goodness and holiness. It’s no longer I who lives but Christ lives in me, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
