Today‘s Inspiration: “I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion. To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.“ Proverbs 8:12-13 NIV. Without wisdom, we will not examine ourselves and self reflect. Thus one does not change without humbling oneself before God, and without awareness of one’s sinful ways. Even lesser people examine their daily words which carries curses, vulgarity, criticism and judgements. Why Christians can pull down one another in families? There isn’t the fear of the Lord, no moral accountability and no personal relationship with God.
Without the fear of the Lord, there is no wisdom in a Christian family, spiritual discipline and a devoted Christian life of Christlikeness. Wisdom is found in the Word of God and the House of God. Psalm 27:4. After pandemic, many had lost their spiritual Church life, connecting to the assembly of worship, communion, and fellowship among the saints. We cannot live a self-centered, do it yourself (DIY) life, without connecting to the body of Christ. Love needs to come together in the presence of God. Why is suicidal rates increasing among the youths in Singapore and mental oppression increasing globally? It is because of seeing oneself as a burden, lack of belonging, and even non-existence of hopelessness. That’s why the world needs Christ Jesus, the saviour, lover and healer of our souls. He is the way, the truth, and the life, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27. We have to be less self conscious and more God conscious in our walk in the Spirit, coming together. You are never alone with Christ.
Prayer: O Lord my God, I repent of all ungodly thoughts, words or actions that I have perceived, spoken or did. Let my soul humble before you and to worship your holy Name. For you are holy, so let me be holy in all ways of my speech, behaviour and thoughts. Forgive my sins, iniquities and transgressions through the precious Blood of Jesus and renew my mind with the cleansing of your Word. One thing that I desire is to dwell in your house all the days of my life, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
