Today’s Inspiration: “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.” Ephesians 6:7-8. What is high on earth is low in heaven and what is low on earth is high in heaven. There was one preacher who was caught up in heaven didn’t see any famous pastors but were filled with nameless saints who worshipped and served God. A worldly leader and a kingdom leader is different. The latter doesn’t look to one’s gain but the needs of others.
Jesus called the disciples and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles Lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Matthew 20:25-28. Many wants to be loved, respected and honoured but few are willing to humble, serve, and sacrifice. In this day and age, we need Christ leadership to bring salvation to homes and families. It’s not about what you can get but what you can give.
Prayer: O Lord my God, teach and guide me to serve in my family, marketplace and ministry as I learn to serve like you wholeheartedly. No offences are too big, and no tasks are too small in your eyes. For you Lord always love a cheerful giver and those who refresh others refreshes oneself. May I serve with your Spirit, bearing the Cross and love always, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
