3 January 2023 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Therefore, since we have these [great and wonderful] promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, completing holiness [living a consecrated life—a life set apart for God’s purpose] in the fear of God.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭7‬:‭1‬ ‭AMP. A Holy life is not a religious life, nor is it becoming a hermit or an untouchable saint. Jesus came to the earth is to destroy the works of the devil and to bring salvation to our souls and turn us away from sins. 1 John 3:8. Holiness comes from sanctification which is to set apart for God. And it is to be different from the World. Romans 12:2.

For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. I Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬. ‭Eternity and Kingdom life doesn’t begin when we pass on from this earth but on the contrary to live daily according to the Word of God for the glory of God. One can be anointed but doesn’t live a holy life like king Saul so it doesn’t mean when one moves in signs and wonders, he or she is a man or woman of God. Jesus taught us not to be deceived in the end of times by false prophets or teachers. Matthew 24:4. A man or a woman of God is revealed by their fruit of the Spirit, the Character of Christ. A sure example for man after God’s heart is like David who repents and willing to change by the Holy Spirit, with a contrite heart and humble spirit. Remember this we can’t get into heaven with just an anointed life but with a Holy life that pleases God. Matthew 7:21.

Prayer: O Lord my God, let me be holy for you are Holy. Consecrate my heart that I shall not harbour sin or hatred but be contrite in yielding to your Holy Spirit daily, walking according to your Word and commandments with your love, grace and forgiveness. For Christ is the rock of my salvation and on this rock the Church is built and the gates of hell shall not prevail, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
