Today’s Inspiration: “Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.”Deuteronomy‬ ‭11‬:‭18‬ ‭NKJV.‬‬ Learning to give ourselves to God is to give ourselves to His Word. Without living His Word, we walk in darkness and deception because Jesus has saved us and had given us Himself the truth, which is the living Word of God, who sets us free from all sins, iniquities and transgressions.

Jesus taught,”You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16.‬ Our children observe us more than they hear us. Therefore as Christian parents we have to live out the Word of God daily, so that light could shine on the hill, to our descendants and the world. Our authority and power in Christ is established by our obedience to Christ. Love is our first and greatest commandment.

Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive us if we have not in any way live out the Word of God or not putting it as our first priority. We repent of all the quarrels, fights and argument as parents at home which is not a good testimony for the children. Teach us to love, forgive and pray for one another so that Christ can shine in my family, children, workplace and ministry. Let not I who lives but Christ who lives in me to love. Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Be quick to forgive, love and pray in obedience to your Word, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
