3 April 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: ”The hearts of the wise make their mouths prudent, and their lips promote instruction. Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.“ Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Strong and godly relationships are shaped by the Word of God. But divisions, disputes and disagreements are caused by our negative words and wounds. If we can’t discern our past, we can’t discern our future. When a person is wounded by words, it opens door for Satan’s lies and deception to enter. That’s why hurting people hurt people.

Jesus taught,”For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned. Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭34‬-‭37.‬ ‭We all need the Lord’s healing for our wounds and our words. Psalm 147:3. Wisdom comes not from the mind but from the heart, our innermost being. Forgiveness brings prudence and healing divine so that out of out hearts will once again flow living waters which is the grace of God’s word, blessings and providence. John 7:38.

Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me if all wounded words I had spoken in the past. Heal the wounds of people and places which had afflicted my heart. I take authority in the name of Jesus to expose all the lies and deception of all wounds, I renounce them and break all cyclical chains and bondages they have on me. For who the Son (Christ Jesus) sets free is free indeed. I no longer under the curses of words but under the blessings of God’s word, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
