29 June 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “See how numerous are my enemies and how fiercely they hate me! Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, Lord, is in you.” Psalms‬ ‭25:19-21‬ ‭NIV‬‬. We are in a crossroads of many fronts of threats today, a brewing war, global inflation, Covid mutation, risk of financial recession, multiple social unrest and a rising sea level in climate changes. Things could change so fast that no analyst could predict, yet one thing can never change. The sovereign, unchanging and unshakable Kingdom of God and His Word. Hebrews 12:28.

When I was in Norway working for 4 years I was serving in the international Church in Stavanger and I saw old pictures of the Church packed with Norwegians farmers wearing their Sunday best, because they were the poorest country in the Scandinavian countries, living off fish, potatoes and the flock. Mortality rate was high, life was very tough but yet their faith were strong in Christ as a Protestant country. Rain was their resource and God was their only source of Harvest and miracle. Till 1969, they found oil in the North Sea and the country became one of the richest in the world but when we visit the churches today, they are no longer full. There is a danger when we are consumed by the world and it’s enticement. “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” Matthew‬ ‭16:26‬ ‭‬‬We have to pray for the salvation of souls for the world and love ones so that heaven can be populated and hell be emptied. Praise God!

Prayer: O Lord my God, let not the faith of our patriarch and our forebears be lost in this generation. We pray that you will raise up a prophetic generation who grandmas and grandpas, fathers and mothers have prayed for to inherit the Kingdom of God. Let the blessing of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob be our lasting legacy and ordinance. May the Holy Spirit come upon us with His wind and fire once again to ignite our souls, in Jesus Name, Amen.
