29 July 2025 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.” Proverbs‬ ‭25‬:‭28‬ ‭NIV.‬‬ Our battles are not carnal or external but are spiritual and internal as taught by Apostle Paul. 2 Corinthians 10:3. Likewise when we lose control of our temper, our emotions, our words and our thoughts, we bring hurt and wounds to the people around us and ourselves eventually. A city with broken walls are not secure and the enemy can come in to plunder all things and people.

Wisdom teaches us to guard our hearts for our of it flows issues of life. Proverbs 4:23 And we learn to guard our hearts by guarding our tongues which is to meditate, pray and apply the Word of God. Without God’s Word, there is no Spirit and where there is Holy Spirit, there will be His Word of healing, restoration, and reconciliation. Our best decisions and choices in life comes from calm, mature, kind, patient, and gracious advice of counsel. The Bible says,”Through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone.”Proverbs‬ ‭25‬:‭15‬ So don’t lose our cool easily but pray and seek God for His wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

Prayer: O Lord my God, you and your Word are the bulwark of my heart and my faith. Let me always be still and know you are the God who is on the throne and is in control of my life and relationships. Let me not react to situations but to always response with your Word. Help me to rebuild broken walls in my life to have self control and to bear the fruit of the Spirit. Lead me and mould me to raise up thy age old foundations, in Jesus Name, Amen.
