Today’s Inspiration: “One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:24-25 NIV. The best attitude is gratitude unto God, and unto others. A life of fulfilment is the found in the life of sowing and reaping. We live our best in areas we gave our best. Just like godly parenting, which the world needs Christlike fathers and mothers.
Generosity is different in the Kingdom of God than the world. It is not about giving money but giving ourselves to God as a living sacrifice. Romans 12:1. When the world gives it is charity but when the Kingdom gives it is Christ. It is not about what belongs to us but what belongs to God for we are just stewards of His grace and trust for what we are given. It is the highest honour and privilege to give unto the Lord, just like how He gave himself for us at the Cross and is resurrected for our salvation and a spirit filled life. So freely received, freely give. Matthew 10:8.
Prayer: O Lord my God, may I not hold the things of the worldly so tightly but to hold on to you firmly. Let me and my descendants be sowers and givers for your glory. Give us a heart of thanksgiving, gratitude and praises to your Name. For out of it shall flow rivers of living waters which brings life and abundance to all, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
