Today‘s Inspiration: ”Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.“ Galatians 5:24-25 NIV. Jesus taught to be his disciples we have to deny ourselves, carry the Cross, and follow Him. To walk in the Spirit is to crucify the flesh so that we no longer do what we want but to do what God wants us to do. We no longer are slaves to sin in bondage who are lost sheep but are children of God who are born again and we follow the Good Shepherd, Christ our Lord in His Word.
Paul taught,”For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”Romans 8:14-15. If the flesh is not crucified, our weight is on self and it can easily cause sin, fear, anxiety and stress which invites sickness and infirmities. But if we walk in the Spirit our faith increases because our weight is on Christ through prayer, worship and walking in His Word, receiving God’s healing peace, protection, and provision.
Prayer: O Lord my God, give me strength to carry the cross daily, crucifying all fleshly desires and passions but to live and arise by the Holy Spirit of Christ to walk in the Spirit, obeying the Father’s will. Let your will be my food and your word be my light. For in your light I shall see light and in your presence, there is fullness of joy, restoration and recompense. Thank you Abba Father for thy spiritual adoption and I believe your greater days and plans shall unfold in my life, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
