28 September 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today‘s Inspiration: “And not only as we had hoped, but they (Macedonians) first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God.” II Corinthians‬ ‭8‬:‭5‬ ‭NIV. The Macedonian church was in the poorest state as compared to other churches but they were the richest in the Spirit and excelled in the grace of giving. They were not self-centered, but God-centered in their heart to support the missions of Apostle Paul in Church planting and propagating the preaching of the gospel.

It is one thing to bring souls to the Church but it’s totally different in bringing the Church to the souls. It is not how big or rich are the numbers in the Church but how small and poor we are in spirit without prayer, word and Holy Spirit in the Church today. Do we have burdens for the lost, the least and the last? Do we think of ourselves more than for others? Do we first give ourselves to God like the Macedonians? For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. ‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭8‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬. Generosity is not based on how much you have or can give, but rather how much of you are willing to give to God as a living sacrifice. Romans 12:1.

Prayer: O Lord my God, let your grace and your goodness be my portion of giving. I don’t just want to be blessed but be willing to be used by you to be a blessing to others in the body of Christ. Make me not a pew warmer but a soul winner in the Kingdom of God. Break all fears of lack and poverty mindset and give me the mind of Christ. Let my heart be filled with His grace of gratitude, generosity, and giving as a poured out offering that seeks to only please God and not our fulfil the desires of our flesh, in Jesus' Name, Amen
