Today’s Inspiration: “A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.” Isaiah 35:8 NKJV. Life is like a highway and many times when we made a wrong turn we simply couldn’t turn back. Paul was a classic example of a religious man who encountered the Messiah at Damascus, struggled with His past, yet became a great apostle of faith in Christ Jesus to the Gentiles.

He taught,” Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:12-14. We struggle mentally and emotionally when we try to change our future by thinking of our past. Hope is not surrounding our future with our past but surrounding our future with our faith in Christ Jesus. He is the highway of Holiness. Praise God!
Prayer: O Lord my God, when I am unsure and afraid I can put my trust on you. May the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be pleasing to you as I pray and abide in your Word. May I travel on your highway of holiness heavenwards that my feet will not be ensnared by the devil, the world and the flesh. For your ways are higher than mine, so are your thoughts higher than mine. Set up the road signs and guide post for me Lord, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
