Today’s Inspiration: “So Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and called it The Lord Is Peace. To this day it stands in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.” Judges 6:24 NIV. There is no peace in this world that could calm the storms of our emotions and renew the waves of our thoughts. Christ is the Prince of Peace and the Lord of all elements of the world when He revealed himself, stilling the storm and calming the sea, saving the sinking vessel of His disciples. For they look to the storm, rather than the Messiah who is sleeping at the rear. Jesus said, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”Matthew 8:26-27
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Peace and this Peace dwell with and in us continuously as we build the Altar of Peace. It is spoken and written,” But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:26-27 Prayer and Worship releases our cares, supplications and petitions to God, knowing He will sustain, provide and protect us. Gideon was a small person and belongs to the smallest tribe but He realised He served a Great God of Peace who fights all His battles and gives Him the courage to pull down all idols and unite the tribes to overcome the Midianites. The Power of the Peace of God who was, and is and always be able to put all enemies under His footstool as He lifts you up to His right hand. Psalm 110:1 Glory to God!
