27 September 2024 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today's Inspiration: “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.” Proverbs‬ ‭21‬:‭31.‬ ‭Our prayer life reflects and reveals our attitude before God. It is to be relational and not religious. Is our prayer only in time of crisis or our prayer carries a heart of thanksgiving daily? Is our obedience more than our sacrifices before God? Is there a fear of the Lord within us that our own pursuits, pressure and problems look so trivial before Him? Do we just seek God’s hand and not His face?

Giving our time daily to prayer, communion and devotion to God’s Word builds our readiness in times when faith is needed. It’s likened a reservoir which releases rivers of living waters at times of drought and dryness in our soul. Life is like seasons and we have to discern, navigate, and transit well by the leading of the Holy Spirit by the grace of God. For the psalmist sang,”Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.”Psalms‬ ‭127‬:‭1.‬ ‭With God, all things are possible. Be builders of living stones, who are altar builders. Put our trust in God.

Prayer: O Lord my God, we are a Jacob generation that seeks your face and presence. I shall put my trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on my own understanding; in all my ways I shall submit to you in prayers daily, and may the Holy Spirit make my paths straight according to the heart of the King of Kings, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
