Today’s Inspiration: “Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:14-15 NIV When we were young, time was real slow but as we grow older, time flies. It is not that time has different speed but time serves different purposes in life seasons. The Psalmist says,” Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalms 90:12. It’s not how we start but how we finish is more important.
God doesn’t look at our success but our faithfulness in all things. We make mistakes when we move alway from God’s will in our lives but we thank God for Christ, our good shepherd who always leads us back. Wisdom comes from a steadfast spirit and willing heart. We are as strong as in unison or weak in division from God’s will. Even King Solomon realised it wasn’t success that that made life meaningful, it was one’s relationship with God and serving God’s will that matters. “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.”Ecclesiastes 12:13
Prayer: O Lord my God, give me each day your daily bread as I desire to know your will in my life. Teach me to not look to the things of the world but to what matters most to you in the Kingdom of God. May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands, in Jesus Name, Amen.
