27 June 2022 Word by Snr Pastor, Ps Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish. Look on my affliction and my distress and take away all my sins.” Psalms‬ ‭25:16-18‬ ‭NIV. Today the greatest bondage is loneliness. The pandemic, the digital world and cold wars has caused desolation globally despite many do not see it spiritually. We are created to worship God, fellowship in Spirit and perpetually building strong relationships with one another. Remember the devil come to steal, kill, and destroy but Christ came to destroy the works of the devil and to give us a eternal and abundant life by walking in God’s divine word. John 10:l0.

Many of us are not aware that today people are texting more than talking, and living virtually more than in reality. When the Holy Spirit came on Pentecost upon the 120 disciples and eventually bringing salvation to the 3000 households, there was a divine outbreak of fellowship, discipleship, communion and helps began to move within the community in building a strong relationship with God and with one another, breaking the spirit of fear, loneliness, rejection, hopelessness and desolation. Acts 2:42-47. God’s love is different from ours and it has the power to lift up all heaviness, remove all mourning and cloth us in a garment of praises. Isaiah 61:3. Roots of rejections and neglect will always cause selfishness, self-consciousness and self isolation. But all these can be broken free through intimacy with God in worship, prayer and fellowship in Spirit bringing healing, restoration and reconciliation. We are all designed by God to be filled with His Holy Spirit and to bear much fruit so do not allow negative emotions or hurts in the past or childhood to hinder you. Learn to cast your cares to Jesus in prayer, petitions and thanksgiving in your heart. Philippians 4:6.

Prayer: O Lord my God, break me free from any form of isolations and desolations in the Name of Jesus. I am created by a good and great God for godly relationships, fellowship and stewardship. Fill me with thy Holy Spirit that I may bear fruit of the Spirit in ministering to God and others. May my will and spirit be yielded to you wholeheartedly and change my attitude, behaviour and character to be like you Lord, that you shall be the vine, and I be your branch in Jesus' Name, Amen.
