27 January 2026 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo

Today’s Inspiration: “Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”Matthew 4:4 NIV Today’s world is filled with too many distractions and noises which affect our minds with discouragement, distress and discontent. To be fruitful in 2026, we have to bear fruit of our lips with the mighty Word of God and not words of our flesh, the world or even from the devil who prowls like a roaring lion to cause fear, anxiety and stress.

Wisdom tells us that from the fruit of their mouth a person’s stomach is filled; with the harvest of their lips they are satisfied. The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:20-21 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water. James 3:9-12 When we change our words to God’s, it changes us from the inside out to be the salt and light of His glorious promises.

Prayer: O Lord my God, let the words of my mouth and mediation of my heart be pleasing to you through your word which is the fountain of life and rivers of living fresh waters which nourishes my soul. As the deer pants for the waters so does my soul longs for you, my strength, my defense and my song. Your word is what I live for and live on, for they are my delight day and night, in Jesus Name, Amen.
