Today's Inspiration: It is God who declared light to shine out of darkness. Likewise, may He give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6. So let us fix our eyes not on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal. V18.

God desires us to maintain a balance in our life. To do His works, we need to understand His ways through fellowship with Him in Christ Jesus.

The Israelites in the wilderness witnessed a lot of supernatural and spectacular miracles even in crisis situation because of Moses' total reliance on the Lord and his understanding that the secret behind His miracles is a closer intimate Communion with Him. When they leave Egypt, they were frail and weak after being in bondage under pressure by the Egyptians for 430 years. It's then that The Lord revealed Himself to him that He is Jehovah Rapha the Lord who heals and no disease of Egypt will come to them in Exodus 15:26. How intimate can one get to be able to hear a clear specific word from the Lord? So intimate a Communion with the Lord was that Moses and Abraham were considered friends of God. Exodus 33:11, James 2:23. Today Jesus revealed to us through John's epistle in John 15:14-15 that we are His friends if we do whatever He commanded us to do.

We are His friends because He communicates to us what His Father directs. As friends of the Lord, our desire is to fellowship as often as we can and to follow what He directs that miracles will follow to bring glory to God's name and to extend the Gospel of the Kingdom. All friends require fellowship because they had so much to speak with each other from their hearts. Likewise, we must desire to speak with the Lord every minute like Moses. Walking in the fruit of the spirit is therefore essential to bring glory to God's name.

We must have faith to develop this intimate fellowship and to do what He commanded. Faith is the condition needed to bring his promises into fruition. Therefore, declaration of His promises means nothing until we see that the condition of His promises be fulfilled. Everything we do must be a reflection of what Jesus did in His earthly ministry as God and man. Jesus' sacrificial love for us for dying on the cross was not that we have eternal life alone but to create a community of believers who would bring heaven to earth by the power that was given in His name. The eternal life He is referring to is to point out to us the knowledge of Him as the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. John 17:3. Paul also revealed to us that Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. Colossians 1:15. We are to continue the work laid down by Him in the Great Commission and the scope of work should be more extensive than His for He had only three years to complete the works of the earthly ministry whereas we have more years. John 14:12-13. God be praised.

Prayer: Abba Father, everything that Jesus did on Earth was a reflection of Your glory, may we have the faith of God to perform wonders for You that we might bring glory to God's name always. Amen.
