Today’s Inspiration: “A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart. To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.” Proverbs 21:2-3 NIV. In the gospel we learnt that God’s way is higher than our ways and what we think is right but not be with God. Moses took things into his hands in killing the Egyptian thinking it was righteous and he became an exile and fugitive till he met God at the burning bush. God told him to speak to the rock but he hit it twice with anger even for the most humble man. Why?

Obedience is better than sacrifice. It’s not about what we can do but did we do what God calls us to do specifically? And how do we know His call if we don’t seek Him and how do we obey if don’t listen? We struggle because we don’t put Him first above our families, work, and ministry. It’s a spiritual warfare. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NIV. Take heed.
Prayer: O Lord my God, speak for your servant hears your voice. Forgive me if I had not waited for you or took things in my own hands emotionally. Lead me by your Holy Spirit to overcome the flesh. For your sheep hears your voice, you know me and I follow you. I commit my plans and my prayers to you, for you are my Jehovah Jireh, Nissi and Shalom; my Lord, my provider, banner and peace, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
